| Antique Victorian Mahogany Extending Dining Table circa 1840 |
Victorian mahogany extending dining table dating from around 1840 . Constructed from solid figured mahogany it extends with a wind out action to seat up to ten with the insertion of the two original leaves. It can of course be reduced with just one leaf inserted or completely wound down without the leaves.
It is stamped HAWKINS and the casters are stamped J.C. Patent.
It stands upon four heavy reeded legs in the manner of Gillows, with original white porcelain casters. .
With a deep original patinated finish, in fully working order including original winding handle. The mechnism winds smoothly and the runners beneath the top form a strong and supportive understructure when fully extended. Available to view at our premises in Boyle.
The measurements are; 90" long extended - 46" wide - 28 3/4" tall. 51" long wound down. Each leaf is 19 1/2" deep.

Constructed from solid mahogany it extends with a wind out action by Joseph Fitter with the insertion of two original leaves. These can be inserted individually to form a table of varying lengths. With solid mahogany runners to form a rigid and supportive understructure without sagging.
It stands upon four elegant cabriole legs with carved claw and ball feet and original porcelain casters. Forms a near circle when closed.
In excellent condition with a superb french polished finish. Available to view at our premises in Boyle.
The measurements are; 95 1/4" long extended - 48" wide - 28 3/4" tall. 56" long wound down. The leaves are 15 3/4" and 23 1/2" deep.
